Rifle Scopes Badger ring and AICS question

A shooting buddy has a Model 700 with a Badger rail and the Badger .823 tall rings on it. He recently put his barreled action in an AICS and now the ,823 rings are too low for him to get a good sight picture through the scope.
When the adjustable cheek piece is all the way down on the 1.5/2.0 AICS which Badger rings work best to get a good sight picture? The 1.125" tall rings are going to bring the scope up .302" and the 1.250" tall rings are going to put it .427" taller than the .823" rings. Will the 1.125" rings bring the scope up high enough? The objective is to get the scope higher for him to get a good sight picture through the scope without going excessively high.
We know that this is a tough question to answer because everybody has a different cheek weld. And if we go with the taller rings the adjustable cheek piece can always be raised. Just seeing if anyone else has had any personal experience with this same issue.

I use standard height, 34mm rings with my AICS. I use a Bushnell DMR w/ 50mm objective. Just the right height, with only a slight rise of the cheek piece.

What scope is on that rifle?

The 30mm low rings won't work on the Aics stock ,you need the medium high 1.0" badgers . I have gone thru the same prob in the past ,as a temp fix you can scoot the cheek piece all the way to the right by adjust the side ways adjustment underneath the cheeckpiece .

Does he plan to use any NV in front of it at any point? If so, he will need at least a 1.5" base. Here is my AICS 1.5 with a Larue LT111 mount that is 1.535" tall. I've only had to raise the cheek piece up slightly so that when behind the weapon I can rest in a relaxed position and my eye is in line with the scope. I know this differs from man to man but this is what works for me and what it looks like. Hope it helps.

Scope being used is a NF NXS 5.5-22x50. There will not be any NV used on this rifle.

Pull the cheekpiece off and sand the plastic down from the bottom. Grind the heads down of the two mounting screws so there is just enough left to use an allen wrench in them. Reassemble and put all the way down. Now your just slightly too low rings will work fine. Also consider replacing the thumb screws that allow you to adjust it vertically with allen plugs. Blue Loc Tite them. One less thing to go wrong on the rifle.
