Just wanting to know if anyone has used one with the PVS-14 in conjunction with the Leupold spotter. Looking to get one for use in training and need to know if it is worth it.

Is the image quality on target good using both optics at 800 yards distance?

Tough one with this setup at that distance due to the fact you have to crank up the mags on your spotter along with the 14 hanging of the back via an adapter. The 14 loses a LOT of light and supplemental IR is must.

Best bet obviously is to stick at PVS-27 and/or CNVD-LR out in front of the spotter at those ranges.

Re: badger snap

Victor, sure do appreciate it. I will have IR to flood with, no problem with that. I wanted to weigh the two options I have, use the 14 or go to the 27 in front. I was hoping that the 14 with IR would allow for good spotting, just to free up the 27's to be used on systems.
