I just got an SDN-6 back from AAC after they repaired a second baffle strike. Each was from a different 223 / 556 - one a SCAR, one a LWRC. The suppressor is for a 7.62mm. How in the world am I getting baffle strikes with a 223? Both times I'm using factory ammunition with a 69 grain Sierrra bullet.
I've got a slight wiggle on both mounts but it doesn't seem like nearly enough to interrupt the bullet, especially one so undersized.
Any thoughts or suggestions?
Unrelated to my question, but AAC was great both times. They sent prepaid shipping, repaired the suppressor in around 2 weeks. They didn't have any comment as to why I'm getting stikes.
