Bag bad for scope?

I have a US Peace Keeper bag I bought and love. I have my rifle, but yet to purchase the scope, still searching. The bag is also a shooting mat. Here's my question: when you secure the rifle in, the top section comes over the scope and over the rifle, then the bottom section goes over that section and secures with 4 buckles and Velcro handle strap. Will this hurt the scope, meaning throwing it off? It's a fairly right fit without the scope, and the bag is adjustable, but I don't want it to be loose when closed.

Re: Bag bad for scope?

If you use a good quality mount and torque it down properly it's not likely to throw the scope off unless u start beating it against stuff. Think about it like this, if it was that easy to throw the scope off just by putting it in a bag then you would have some serious problems as the recoil from the weapon itself would throw your scope off. You see what I am saying? If you use a good mount you will not have much to worry about.
