So... I got an Amazon gift card the other day & decided to get my family some Christmas presents. Dad got a new scope, grandpa got a nice hard case for his new rifle, etc.

I got an email today that stated:

I replied to the email & told them that I was using a prepaid Mastercard that I've used on that same account for years. It's not connected to my bank account. I don't use cards that are directly connected to my bank account online for security reasons... I got this reply:

In addition, all open orders have been cancelled.

Ok... no big deal except I STILL HAVE $400.00 DOLLARS ON MY GIFT CARD THAT WAS IN MY ACCOUNT!!!! WTF!!! WTF!!! WTF!!!

So basically Amazon screwed me for over $700.00 worth of goods & cash!!! Is this even legal? I can't get any of these "Account Specialists" on the phone! I've called & talked to several Amazon representatives with nothing getting resolved!

This is such bullshit. Typical big companies treating the little guy like he doesn't exist. They act like they can do anything & that they're above the law!!! What the hell!

I just needed to let off some steam since this just probably ruined my family's Christmas.

Fuck you Amazon. Fuck you up your stupid asses. Sincerely, ME!

That sucks, I dealt with amazon's customer service a few years ago and swore I would never do business with them again. Granted you actually get someone that speaks english but they aren't smart enough to figure out a simple problem.

No doubt. The last guy I talked to was from India & he barely spoke English. He had a really heavy accent & he kept interrupting me. I almost lost it. I'll NEVER deal with Amazon again! Screw them & Gaypal!!!!!!

I spent a total of almost 6 hours on the phone over a 3 week period in order to get a full refund on a socket set that was a three box set but would only send one box at a time. They didn't want to give me about $150 back because they said it was a promotion on that set. They finally gave me a "goodwill" refund after I cussed one of the managers.

I'd take any kind of refund but I don't see that happening since they closed my account! I have no idea why they closed it! I've used the same account for tons of purchases over the last several years! This is unbelievably frustrating!!!

Man...Amazon lost me as a customer just the other day too.
I've dealt with them for a long time with zero issues.
I don't know what happened to them but they suck now.

Just a bit of advice if you don't mind; When I got scAmazon'd I was pissed! Flaming hot over their stupidity. I made the mistake of taking it out on the CS people on the phone/chat system. I got nowhere, denied, rejected, rebuked, then MORE pissed then I thought smart for a second and said to the guy/gal (foreign name I couldn't tell whether to say ma'am or sir) "Look, I know this mess isn't your fault! I apologize for making it seem as though it was. This is Amazon's fault and it is THEM that I'm directing my anger at...not you."
"...please stand by, Mr. Tango..."
(5 minutes later)
"...you're all set Mr. Tango. Sorry for the trouble and have a good night!"
Anyway, make certain you're not abusive or insulting or otherwise abrasive to the CS folks. I'd venture to think MOST could give a rats a$$ about Christmas anyway. Go figure. Just don't take it out on them and good luck. I hope you get it resolved.

THAT'S interesting!
They gave me the same line as the reason why they couldn't cancel an unshipped order. It was part of a larger promo that I didn't know about. I didn't sign on for a prototional group buy I just spent my hard earned cash at your store, period.
Whatever, I'm done with 'em, anyway.
There appears to be a pattern emerging.

Odd, never had anything but great luck with Amazon and their CS. I've used credit cards, prepaid cards, gift cards, promotional codes, etc. They've always treated me more than fair, even allowed me to return opened software that didn't allow an upgrade as I thought it would....NO ONE allows returns of open software (but they did).

Sorry to hear about your hardship.

Maybe they're thinking there is some kind of fraud... Weird, I've never had a problem with them and the one time I fucked up and got charged extra, they credited me back and it was my fault.

$700 is a lot (to us 99% anyway) might have to take 'em to court.

Yeah, I'm probably gonna talk with my lawyer if I can't get this resolved. $700 bucks is a nice chunk to me. I don't see how they would think it's fraud. It was an Amazon Gift Card & like I said... I've had the same Prepaid Mastercard on my account since I opened the account.

Thanks bud. This is the first time I've ever had any problems with them. I always liked shopping on Amazon better than ebay.

WOW! I'm stunned! As suddenly as they closed my account, they re-opened it today!! All my orders & money were intact. I'm amazed. They still didn't give me the reason why they closed it in the first place but I'm not complaining.

I'm sorry for cursing your existence Amazon! (but I'm still never going to shop with you again after I spend this money! hahaha!)
