Gunsmithing Barrel blank identification

I picked up several barrel blanks from an estate sale. Most were match barrels from years back, and most were Douglas. This one didn’t have any identification that I could see. Any chance someone recognized the maker? It’s a 26” stainless .308 barrel, 10 twist. I know it’s not much to go on, but somebody might know what it is.

The Obermyer barrels I have used had the drilled / dimpled indent.

Interesting, that would be nice if it is. That’s one barrel maker I’ve never used.

How many grooves?

For sure Boots used to send his blanks out with the big dimple left on the breech end shank where he mounted his lathe dog.

Guessing a few others did to for a time.

It’s a 4 groove.

I send a message to Obermeyer and got a very prompt response from one of his children. They said the nomenclature and font didn’t look familiar.

Between that response and the 4 grooves, unless someone else knows the maker this may just get put on a gas gun for blasting or hunting use.

Maybe check with Mark Chanlynn?

Only had his stuff all chambered and set up for a rifle and he is a well respected student of Obermeyer.
