I've thought about this but have yet to ask anyone. I see a lot of stocks for sale, many with sendero contour inlet. Would there be any adverse effects of running a thinner contour barrel in a sendero inlet stock? Other than maybe looking a little weird?

I should clarify and say you asked about barrels only...
I was assuming no interference fit with lug dimensions, etc.
Some stocks need work regardless, that's why I shoot metal chassis these days.
A lot depends on if your stock is new or old, bedded or not, made to order, if the barrel was bedded in front of the lug, etc. Lugs can differ quite a bit.
Figured I should expound...
But if all else fits, and a thinner barrel is the only change, you should be good.
