Ok I'm getting in on the group buy.
My cz is a 455 with factory fluted barrel 21.5, I think, long. Thumb hole stock.
My questions are:
Is going with a 16.5 inch long barrel will I be giving up any velocity?
I'd like to go with the .900 barrel at 16.5 I think that would still weigh less than my 21.5 fluted barrel am I correct?

16.5 inch barrel should be very effective.
Studies show optimum velocities obtained at 16 to 18 inches barrel length.
If scoped, no loss of accuracy.
Short rigid barrel will produce minimal barrel harmonics.

I went 18" on mine. Had the 16.5" before it. I'm getting a tad more velocity and accuracy is amazing. If not trying to mimic your center fire comp gun then I dont see any reason to go longer than 18".
