Barrel to action thread tightness

Hey everyone,
So I had a 260 spun up that walks like no other. I took the barrel off so I can send my action to be fitted with a new barrel and as soon as I break loose the barrel, it is loosy goody. Like still touching the recoil lug, it moves a solid 1/16-18”either direction. I was trying to see if by chance the barrel was on a bit crooked since both the stock and chassis I have the barrel would touch the left side of the stock/chassis. I had sanded the stock to free float it so it was not touching. Anyway, I’ve never removed a barrel before so I didn’t know of this was normal? At first I thought I could see the barrel wobbling as I unscrewed it, but then realized there was so much play in the threads that it was impossible to determine that. Any input would be great! Thanks!

I’ve put three prefits in my savage so far.
All three and it’s original barrel had lots of slop once you broke it free and thread wasn’t loaded.
Those same barrels in my custom action were impressively tight and smooth threading.
Accuracy and zero/group stability with both actions is the same.
