Rifle Scopes Barrett M82a1 Scope Recommendations

I recently purchased a Barrett M82a1. Have not decided which optic to mount yet. Looking for something capable of shooting 1000 yards or longer, but most shots taken will generally be under 300 yards. I have looked at Nightforce and Leupold. I want a shorter profile scope, so the carry handle can remain on the rail. I believe the 5-25 mark 5’s will be too long. I have researched the new nx8 riflescopes. I think that scope may be a good match. I would prefer front focal plane with mil radian adjustments. They offer a 2.5 -20 and 4-32 and I am leaning to the 2.5 -20 because it offers more elevation adjustment. I think both options would be short enough for my application. I am open to suggestions.

The new March 4.5-28x52 is getting a lot of praise. I think you should definitely consider it. The thread about that scope is on the front page these days. Read it if you have not done that yet.
