Apparently it's the only one in civilian possession. I'm told that the military told Barrett they wanted a cheaper alternative to whatever their current anti-air weapon was at the time. Barrett came up with this, made 10, showed the military, who responded with "Nevermind, we'll pass on that".

I talked to a guy that worked for Barrett firearms, he said that it sucked to build that rifle; it was complicated on the inside.

Sure hope it isn't loaded.... notice his finger on the trigger. The next 20 houses on his block may have a 1/2 hole going through every room in the bullets path!
