Bartlein Barrels

Re: Bartlein Barrels

Thanks, I'm currently waiting on three barrels........they were going to be here approximately before last christmas........ I hate waiting & waiting for stuff.

I have the actions, reamers, stocks, brakes, cases, bullets, rails, scopes etc for these builds......just as well I don't have customers waiting for them.... yet...

When I do get customers for the 375s how do I tell them it might take 9 months to a year to get the barrel ?

Id much rather plan ahead and have to wait then ask them to crank out more barrels and risk a decrease in quality.

Bartlein's barrels are outstanding and I will continue to use them. Just order ahead of time so when you are in need of it you already have it.

Or call them at (262) 649-1574. They're much quicker to answer the phone than respond to an email, although I have no trouble with email. I can assure you they still exsist - I was just there last week.

I ordered these well over 9 months ago & they were supposibly finished late October/ early November.......

I got two indenticle 375 barrels & my mate got one the same as well but his was fluted.

The reason I got two was to avoid delays like this in the future....

I also ordered another 375 for a 700 build.

What makes it worse is my little 375 is pushing 400s out at 2920 fps & I'm really looking forward to building a big one & putting 2-400 fps on that number

Re: Bartlein Barrels

When I needed to get hold of them, my best results came from calling them between 9:00 to 9:30 am local time at their shop.

Waiting 8-9 months (or longer) for a barrel is not remotely fun. I just ordered 2 Kreiger 7mm tubes (1:8.0 twist) the other day with a 20 week delivery date...but that was still 4-12 weeks less than the wait I could expect from Bartlein.

Bartlein, I love their barrels but hate their wait time.

Re: Bartlein Barrels

I shot a sub 4" group at 1K with a 6.5 Creedmoor Bartlein 8.5 5R a few weeks back. Also, I saw one in a lathe today that was ridiculously straight with barely a hint of a high point on the indicators.

I have shot emails back and forth with Frank and never had a difficulty with comms. I even spoke with them this morning on the phone.

I am a firm believer in their product and have had excellent customer service from them. Sorry to hear of your frustrations with the wait and lack of communication. Try calling when they open for business and before all the machines are up and spinning.

Re: Bartlein Barrels

I spoke with them awhile back about a 6.5 blank, and they suggested I contact Robert Whitley, who keeps them in stock. I was able to bypass the wait time entirely. Now, I don't know that Robert would have any in .375, but if you can reach someone at Bartlein on the phone or email, they might be able to suggest someone who they know tries to keep inventory. Hope this helps, don't know how exporting might be a problem for you.
