BASIC PISTOL/ CARBINE COURSE
Course Syllabus

Where: Jameson Inn, Goldsboro, N.C.
When: *CLASS CANCELLED*
Cost: $300 per student
Deposit and Registration: A non refundable $50 deposit due by June 12th, register online at www.vaportrailtactical.net

The basic pistol/carbine course is designed to teach the fundamentals of marksmanship, once accomplished, teach how to apply those fundamentals in dynamic drills and senarios. This course will push the student to think, adapt, and select the best solution to shooting senarios. We don’t believe in Basics, this is a total shooting package.

Zeroing/ Use of Optics and Irons
Loading/ Unloading, malfunctions
Reloads
Fundamentals of Marksmanship
Static turns
Shooting on the move
Transitions
Single/ multiple target engagements
Medium range engagements

Optical offset
Unorthodox shooting positions
Shooting skills and drills



Gear and Equipment

Tactical Carbine
Optic- either dot, reflex, or magnified combat optic
Iron sites- Optional
6 magazines (minimum) of 20rd capacity or more
Magazine pouches on a belt or vest
Sling
500rds rifle ammo
Cleaning gear/lubricant
Safety Glasses
Any other duty gear such as body armor and helmet

Pistol (no optic)
4 magazines (minimum)
Magazine pouch on belt or vest
500rds pistol ammo
Tactical or duty holster with retention device on belt or drop leg
(Recommend Safariland holsters)
Cleaning gear
Dump pouch (optional)

sean: Would love to do this class, but I'd rather do the Precision Rifle class in October. Don't think I can pull off both classes this year.

Shot the REPR at Quantico Sat. 60 rounds. Ran flawless. Now I need some glass!
