About to put together a 350 legend. What upper and handguard would you guys go with? Probably rest on a stand rail, maybe a tripod in a ground blind one day. Any reason the standard barrel nut would cause deflection?

I would start by asking what length and contour barrel. A long heavy barrel may have some negative effects in a standard upper. That said my 20" service rifle match barrel rides in a standard colt upper and can clean the x ring.
I go with standard uppers because it opens up forend options. If you like the aero enhanced forends that just makes it the easy button.
