    I had my good buddies with me this weekend, not entering any contests but instead looking for quality HD video footage, we set off to hunt the badlands... we hiked up to a tall ridge that over looked a butte,

    this is where we made our hide

    and spotted a beautiful white female about 400 yards below us... I let the circe sing...

    and put my 20X ziess lens to work and zoomed in getting some great footage of this coyote doing some major mousing, as you can see the rodent here in her mouth.

    zooming back out you can see one of my shooters off to the right and a tad below me, shooter number 2 is @ my 9:00 position with his finger slowly squeezing the trigger

    when i reached the count of 3 my shooters were synced to make the 200yd shot @ the same time, some amazing HD video footage followed, having a concentric vapor trail from the left and right, angling down to meet @ the junction of death.

    possibly... usually when the contests open up, and a few grand is @ stake, many teams resort to methods other than "calling"... I'm the kind that likes to pack my stuff and get a workout in weather its .5 miles or 5 miles, and with a camera its tuff... if your familiar with the contest in Pierre that requires legit video footage of each kill, you may find me... this year i think the winner was 3 dogs, compared to any other contest when the "winners" bring in 6-15... not sayin it cant be done, but there is a reason why the kill count is so low when you introduce a camera... and it aint because cameras are so expensive, you can find a camera for 1/2 the price as most pay in buying themselves @ the calcutta.

    yep the VHA... sucks the day i didn't enter, i got 4 kills all on HD video, i guess that teaches me!!!

    We drove through the country & up to VHA last summer. I about had run outta drool after lookin' at all that land out the truck window...

    Roger that, we r blessed to live where we do, open country, rough pines, hardwood creek bottoms, meadows, basins, sandhills, badlands, we basically have every scenario.
