Just to start off, I don't know too much about gunsmithing. So this may or may not be a stupid question.
I am getting another Rem 700 that is already bedded but I want to install a badger m5 in it. Right now it has the factory bottom metal installed. I don't really want to have it redone if I don't have to.
Will I have to have my rifle re-bedded if I want to switch bottom metals?? Or can I just have the smith inlet the stock for the new one and leave the bedding alone??
I tried searching the web but came up with nothing.
Thanks in advance.
