I love firearms and have tons of useless knowledge. Still trying to covert it into useful knowledge. Grew up shooting, (1911s, ar15, revolvers), got busy with life and work and have recently got back into my hobby of actually using firearms instead researching them.. still my favorite aspect of firearms is how they work, taking them apart, working on them and yes cleaning them. My most favorite aspect their history....im just trying to get into "long range" shooting. Only used red dots, holos, and irons in the past.... recently bought my first 308 rifle and lpvo to try and grow with. I'm a lefty so I went with a tavor 7 (7.62nato/.308win bullpup). I also have a affinity with IWI/IMI and their history... my current carry is a xdm osp 10mm, (I know 9mm is better all around, but its my newest pistol and I like it dammit), with a vortex viper red dot. I was going to gamble with a springfield socom m1a and their Q.C. issues.... then iwi came out with the tavor in 7.62nato. When the first tavor came out I fired my friends and always said it would be my unicorn in 762nato. Low an behold it came out last year... the lpvo i picked is a Primary Arms 1-6x 24mm FFP with acss reticle.... I know its not then best quality, and I know the tavor isn't the most accurate "battle" rifle....probably one if not the least semi .308 rifle out of the box. 2 and 1/4 moa on a good day... I mainly choose the PA for the acss reticle. Read alot of good things and thought its particular bdc reticle would be a good way to learn how to use my first scope. Saw garand thumb beat the hell out of one and it maintain zero, so for 400 bucks i don't see a better choice... I choose to spend on a couple grand in ammo considering the PA scope is going to way more capable than I am for a long time
