Not sure. Would like to be under $200 right now and then upgrade later. Not sure if there are any out there under $200. But wanting to see what options I have

Innorel 344 from Amazon runs around $275. It’s probably the cheapest thing that’s usably stable. Innorel Rt90c will be more stable, but heavier and more expensive. Sometimes they come up used on Amazon, and you can save a decent amount. You’ll also need some type of ball head. Sunwayfoto IB-30, also Amazon, for about $150. Or innorel 52mm ball head may be closer to $100.
I went with a Death Grip. Never tried a ball head yet though. I figure I can always adjust a leg to level it.

That adjusting the leg is exactly WHY I wanted the ball head. If you are doing some active shooting, like you do when predator hunting...the ability to pan that rifle and maintain level is imperative, especially when the action is hot.
The factory setup from BOG requires that the tripod be set up precisely level, and then you have no adjustment for vertical. The factory head only allows you to spin the rifle.
The ball head modification allows you to have a pretty stable support and have full range of motion while supported.
EDIT: Plus the ball head adapter and the ones used by @STI_1911_Guy save some weight.
EDIT EDIT: The main reason I like the grip over the arca rail or similar is that I do not have to purchase and figure out how to mount some fucking rail or whatever to each of my many rifles. Might be me just being extra annoyingly engineering OCD but I only clamp the rifle at the chamber, never the magazine. The adapter as mentioned previously allows me to take that clamp off and mount my Swarovski spotter or my little home made plywood table that will hold my Swarovski EL's AND my Spotter. I thought that was cool but it's not actually very useful.

Where do you get them? BOG doesn't even have them on their page. I'm guessing it's from a different company...

I will second this. Sturdy and well built. Nothing fancy but does the job very well.
I've helped several friends out getting tripods, I like the Gitzo 1325 as a "budget" set of tripod legs. You have to hunt around for a used one, check photography websites etc, price will be around $300-350. Carbon fiber, weighs about 4lb, and is super stable.
I have both a RRS and the Gitzo 1325, not much difference between the two except that the Gitzo doesn't have anti-twist leg locks. The Gitzo is my daughter's tripod, we shoot a ton of matches.
Save up and add a used RRS TA-3 leveling base down the road and you'll have a tripod setup you won't ever need to upgrade. In the meantime just throw a game changer on top of the tripod crown for binos or shooting off of.
Has anyone looked at or tried a Leofoto LS-323C? Looks like a solid option for $250.
