Bell & Carlson stocks for AR15/AR10/SR25 ?

Hi Guys ,

I know the Bell & Carlson thumbhole stock fits the AR15 lowers , BUT does it fit the larger 308 lowers like the AR10/SR25 etc as well ?

I would contact Bell and Carlson themselves and ask them about the specific 308 lower you're asking about. There is no military specification for the 308 AR's so there's variations from manufacturer to manufacturer. Most of them will take standard stocks on a full length buffer tube and most will take standard AR-15 pistol grips. However the target style AR-15 grips with the enlarged web areas, sometimes fit with a large gap at the top of the extended web area when installed on a a 308 such as an Armalite AR-10. I just laid my Bushmaster XM-15 next to my Armalite AR-10, and I would say that a thumbhole stock made for the AR-15 would not fit the AR-10 at all. The rear portion of the AR-10 lower where the buffer tube threads in, is much longer than the XM-15 lower. The dimensions of other 308 type AR's may vary.
