benchmade nimravus

Re: benchmade nimravus

The Nimravus is a nice knife. It certainly has a unique look and quite a bit of eye appeal. The 154CM is a good steel but not as "modern" as some of the newer steels like S30V or M4. I'm not sure it's the best value out there at $110-ish though. You might want to check the current Spyderco lineup to see if anything appeals to you there.

Re: benchmade nimravus

I've got one, and can tell you that 154 CM in it is as good a steel as anything IMO, and I have them all. S-30V has some nice attributes, but honestly, I've been up and down the ladder, and I prefer 154 CM/ ATS-34 (same basically) as much as anything.

My Nimravus surpasses any comparable blades I have, including Cold Steel stuff, Spyderco Stuff, Lone Wolf stuff, and several customs I have from Gene Ingram, Dave Winston etc.

It's a hell of a knife, and I'd buy another one in a heartbeat.

Re: benchmade nimravus

I have two along with a couple ESEE knives and they are both great! Check the EE over at ARFcom as I got both mine new for $75 shipped. Used one this year as my deer knife and it worked like a charm.
