Just saw listing for Bergara B14R with "002" as opposed to "001" at the end of the SKU. It is 18" steel barrel, right hand, etc., but is $100 more expensive than the other. This is not the carbon fiber version. Rather, the only difference I see in the description is it has a "two position safety." Is this a new offering for the B14R and does anyone know what is the significance of a "two position safety"? I was just about to buy a B14R finally after a few months of analysis paralysis, but here is yet another item to consider. Worth spending the extra $ on this upgrade (if in fact that's what it is)?

Yup, safety is 2 position, safe or fire, nothing new there. The $100 price increase is the added for a Carbon Fiber barrel.
The "002" suffix is for a Carbon Fiber barrel B14R, not steel. Check other vendors as I believe this is just a typo/misprint in the listing.
B14R001 is 18" steel, B14R001L is 18" steel left hand, B14R002 18" Carbon Fiber, B14R002L 18" Carbom Fiber left hand.
