Hey everyone,
I was looking into buying a new gun as an “upgrade” or impulse to buy a new one. Anyways I know someone selling me a Bergara B14r for $650. Practically new. Thought I was just getting the action but it’s the whole rifle. I believe it’s the steel barrel.

What do you guys think and would you suggest the carbon or steel?

Buying this bergara to replace my CZ457 AT-ONE for about $600 too so it’s a gun swap basically.

Mine loves the SK long range too. I bought a barreled action. Put it in a Bravo stock with a Triggertech trigger it shoots great. I had some feeding problems at first but KRG sent me instructions on how to adjust the fore arm and trigger guard and it’s now great. I have a Vudoo in a X-Ray stock and I m happy with both. I have the Bergara set up for NRL22 and the Vudoo for ELR but I have shot the Bergara out to 400 yards with no complaints. Just have a better scope on the Vudoo.

Do you know a place that sells the b14r new? Rather get a new rifle
I doubt you can find a B14r for 650 new. That for a used one is a very good price. I got mine from A&8 here on the hide. Great guy and he has about the best price you can find on these. I just got the barreled action and mine is carbon fiber. Accuracy is the same between them but if you want to use it comp then I suggest a steel barrel. Mine is in a lightweight chassis and I like it that way. Easy to carry and shoot around in the woods. I also have a 20 lbs RimX that I use for target shooting and positional shooting.

Buy the one available. Put a real trigger in it. Go shoot it a bunch. If you think you can make it shoot better with a carbon barrel, go for it. Might as well put it in a stock and fuck around with the new feeding issues. Come back here and tell us your woes. Get fed up with it all. Come back here and tell us all of your woes and tell us you want at least $1200 for it delivered to the FFL of our choice.
