Bergara Bmp

Hi. I am completely new here. So please be patient with what is probably a common topic.
I am looking for a long range set up. I really like the Bergara Bmp. 6.5 creedmoor with 24 inch barrel.
I am not planning on using this for hunting. Looking at the Vortex Venom 5-25x56 scope with 34mm
tube. Prone position is not an option. Physical limitations. Will be shooting from a bench. Bags or bipod?
I am completely new to long range. Items listed above are kind of what my budget is. Not set in stone
but needs to be in the neighborhood.

It’s a good rifle and a good chassis. I had a BMP chassis that I bought from someone here and used it for a while. Has all the features of the top end chassis except for an arca rail. But it has an mlok forend so you can add that later if you want.
Bergara also makes a nice action and very accurate barrels. Buy with confidence.

Friend of mine and his son both have one.
They’re using Harris bipods and Diamondback/equivalent scopes in a similar mag range.
They’ve taken them out to 1200 yds with that set up. With the improved glass you’re looking at I think it will be a great starter set up.
If you’re shooting bench only I would consider a front rest instead of bags/bipod. Not as versatile but I think it’s easier to shoot well off of. Especially if you’re not going to be changing positions and surfaces.
