Bergara HMR Pro .308 Win load data

I have found the Bergara rifles to be picky when it comes to hand loading but with that said I have found that H335 seems to excel in the 20” barrels my current load is
R.P brass
Coal 2.800
165gr Sierra TGK
Fed. 210 primer
44.1gr H335
This load has produced consistent .5 MOA groups at 2800fps with good SD and ES.
Now this is a max load so I would recommend working up to it but for me I have seen zero pressure signs

I have a Bergera Premier HMR Pro in 308. I’m looking for accuracy loads with 175 SMKs and Varget/4064/H4895. Help is appreciated!
Loads that work well in my gun may not work well in your due to variables:
- Case volumes can be very different, even from one lot of the same brand to another lot.
- Powder burn rates can vary from lot to lot and moisture content can vary even within the same lot depending on how someone handles and stores their powder.
- People use different seating depths where you may not want to use and not really disclose that along with the other specs for their cartridges they're producing.

It's often a good thing to do some testing with loads starting ~10% less than the max published in manuals from the powder or bullet manufacture's. Or, when looking as loads other's are using that work for them, use it as a starting point to test and make adjustments for the load to fit your gun according to your components (e.g. powders and primers used).

With all that in mind, here's some numbers to help give you some ideas:

Note: This Varget load tends to be a very hot load and most likely not suitable for you.

My favorite Varget load of 175 SMK's is 42.5 grs in Lapua brass with a COAL of 2.869" using Fed 210 primers.

Thanks! Exactly what I’m looking for. Of course I’ll start low and work up. This helps me get in the ballpark!
