Bergara HMR Pro in 308 opinions

Looking to upgrade my 308 bolt gun very soon and this is high on my radar. I have the HMR in 6.5, and it is the most accurate rifle I've ever fired. I got a gem with it.

I'm really wanting to cap it at 1600-1700 for this rifle. Already have glass for it. I've been told that the Pro would be an excellent rifle in that you can eventually use the action in a custom build. Not sure I'll get to that point anytime soon, but I can eventually.

What are your opinions on this? Don't shoot matches, more just fun, hunting and prepping if ever need be.

I have the same plans for my HMR in .300 WM. I have placed the barreled action in an AW AICS stock, and will have a Krieger installed if I ever shoot this one out. I would just use a Bergara barrel if I could get it in a heavy Palma contour. Mine delivers way above its price point.

I was hell bent on a Pro and having trouble finding them in my area. Went to one of the sorta local ranges where a buddy works who also runs a shop in El Reno. He found one, but kept trying to convince me get the HMR instead. It was too good to pass up and I am glad I saved the 600 and went with the HMR. Mine shoots better than me and way above it's price point too. I got a gem and with what little load development I have done for it, it is shooting sub 1/2 MOA. I still want a Pro, but this 6.5 isn't going anywhere.
