HI guy's, I'm new here and have very little experience with long range shooting. I do reload for hunting and want to pick your brains a little. Have any of you guys hunted with Berger bullets in your AR-10's ? I thought I would try out some Berger 168 gr VLD hunting bullets for shooting up to 300 yds at deer size game, That's about the farthest I am capable of shooting off a bench with any accuracy at my age and lack of experience.Do any of you have any powder preference or loading data for the DPMS AR-10 ?

I like Varget powder in both my 308 ar and my 223 ar. Midway has the berger hunting bullets on sale in thier october flyer. My dpms seems to like 44gr of varget behind 175 smk's. But you should always work your loads up using the manual. I am thinking of buying some of the berger bullets my self. Good Luck and have fun with your ar.

My POF is liking 155 Bergers and 44.5 gr of Varget and 175 Bergers with 43 gr of varget.
