Berger bullets

What's the diff between Berger VLD and the Match Target BT. I am looking at their web site, and see some BC difference. In some cases the BC is better in the Match Target BT.

I am selecting a bullet for a 300wm to use for long range precision.

Look at the outer shape of the VLD designs. They tend to be a higher ogive number and have a longer more tapered front. The same bullet in non-VLD may weigh the same. But it is usually slightly shorter and not as pointy on the end. Sometimes the VLDs are harder to tune the load / seating depth to that particular rifle.

BC isn't everything. Your rig will like one more than the other. If its the one with the greater BC, good. If not, no big deal. Shooting consistant is more important than drag. This is a reahlm of many options.

I REALLY like the BT target bullets. However, as mentioned, I know a few people that can get the VLD's to work better in their rifle.

Try a box of the 210 Berger BT for 300WM and target shooting. I can't keep that bullet in stock it is so popular.
