best A2 buttstock

Gents,

I'm looking to change the adjustable stock on an 18" SPRish rifle to an A2 stock. I'm asking for recommendations for brands that fit and who to stay away from (UTG has some bad press). Also needs to have the trap door in the butt pad and would prefer something that is quality.

What about the Magpul MOE rifle stock? Everything else magpie seems very well made?

Magpul MOE is gtg. Being able to add flush cups is a big plus.

If you can't find a Colt A2 stock... be sure to check if your choice has a metal door or a plastic door.

Whom ever you buy from... be sure to get the spacer and longer A2 vented screw. ( if you don't have them, the link shows them )

thanks. I'm looking harder at the magpie right now. @MitchK FDE won't work not scary enough and not color coordinated with the black on the rest of the rifle.

honestly its hard to fuck up an A2 stock.

I really like the Armalite for an A2 but also have a Magpul MOE.

I have a UTG and a Magpie. It's a wash between the two.

I have 2x UTG stocks on rifles now. I have an old GI A2 stock too that's going on an M16A1 build I'm working on. I've been pretty hard on the one UTG stock. I've had zero problems with any of them.

Thanks for all the replies. The mag pul looks like the thing to do if cost is comparable and original appearance is not mandatory (which it isn't). The sling attachment points on the mag pul are a big selling point, but if I can find an A2 for cheap I might be able to be happy and spend the extra on ammo.
