Best mags for 22LR upper on an AR?

I have a 16" CMMG...the Mk4 HT and it really does exceed my expectations....OTHER than stripping the first round from the magazine, doesn't want to do it most times. And what I notice is it might be due to how many are in the magazine....spring compression forces I assume? So, now I have this huge magazine that looks like a regular 30rnd AR magazine, but I can only load 10 in it so it will strip the first round? Does any of this sound right/familiar to anyone? Is there a better or certain brand of magazine I need to be using???

If your CMMG takes the Atchisson type mag, whatever came with my Chiappa dedicated 22lr upper has been flawless over 6 yrs. Good luck. No one enjoys shooting a gun they expect to have a malfunction with whenever they use it.

Ive had good luck with Black Dog Machine magazines using a Tactical Solutions upper. They hold 25 rounds, but I load up 22 or 23. The 24th and 25th rounds are really tight

I have a CMMG dedicated 22 upper also. Hate the CMMG mags but Black Dog mags have worked well for me as well.
