Best place to get objective Ukrainian news?

99.9% of the news in this country and in Europe is going to be pro-Ukraine. In fact it's illegal in Europe now to show any news that is not 100% pro Ukraine. They are no better than China.

Since I always like to see both sides of a story before coming to any conclusions, I've been checking out Sputnik and RT News websites for the Russian perspective. Some people enjoy being sheep, so for them I recommend just sticking to CNN or the NYT.

Again should be taken with critical eye

Why not tell us what it says
It’s long.

Subscribe to this YouTube channel. It's a former US Army Sniper and another US Special Forces guy doing daily updates using maps and so forth. I think they release updates twice per day using open source intel and various other reports. It's like the daily Cliff Notes version of what's going on.

At the end of the day, Russia is attacking a place that is dug in and heavily defended. Hence they 'planned' for the entire operation to take the whole country to take two weeks. The fact is they are getting their asses kicked so ANY news source that tells even the remotest of truth will be labeled as 'biased' towards the Ukraine.

The Russians don't have air superiority at all. Then they do not have good supply chains or lines at all. Then on top of that they are trying to attack places that literally have dug in like trench warfare and are trying to use really old technology to take it over.

The Russians are being punished on the battlefield, but anyone that points that out is definitely biased. Without question biased. Even if there is video evidence of the ass kicking it's still biased.

objective news lol not possible now a days . Everything is opinion pieces only .02 % is actually news like that farmer that stole a Russian tanks with his tractor then went back and stole something else on the side of the road . He going to be pissed when and if the fighting is over and no one will allow him to keep any of it pull it all apart now column of tanks what column of stolen tanks , I know nothing nothing best of luck to him getting to keep any of it ...

LOL CNN and MSNBC say so it must be true.

Do you believe the narrative?
That would depend on who's narrative you are talking about.

If it's the fake narrative that Putin is a victim of the West and that the US is to blame, or that NATO touched Putin in the wrong place when he was a child, then no. I do not believe any of that, nor it's offspring thought processes.

For reference I have not watched a single news broadcast from ANY source on ANY topic since about October 2020, so we are going on 18 months of a complete voluntary media blackout. If it were up to me I would not even own a TV at all.

I have been and lived all over the world. I counted all the countries I've been to (not included are places where I was there for a day or changed planes or whatever) and I stopped counting at 70 countries where I've spent at least a week and the majority a month or longer. The fact of the matter is, I do not need the perspective of a news media outlet to tell me what to think.

Our son believes the best choice available is BBC. Notice, I said best, which is a Relative term.

For years, When i was making a current events lesson plan for my first period class, I used CNN and FOX and averaged them. Not a good choice but the only choice I had. Listened to the two sides, compare the recent history and move on.

But how does the “new” news work?
An example. (The numbers are a representative, probably not correct but this was over ten years ago.)

One evening, during the obama years.
NBC reported,
“Good News; over 247,000 jobs were created this quarter”
Fox reported.
Sadly only 247,000 jobs were created this quarter

Who lied? Neither, changed three letters and the entire outlook of the report is changed. So, my real recommendation

The National Enquirer is probably as good as any.

NBC's news interview today asked biden if he thought Russia would win. He said depends.

They asked if he thought it was WW3 starting . He said depends.

They said that's not much of an answer and he replied it's not an answer. I just shit myself again and need some new depends .

I may be off base here, but if the enemy has captured my port cities, is bombarding every city in the country, and are in my capital city, "getting their asses kicked" might be a stretch.

I cruise about 20 different news sources and then fact check to see how Breitbart and The Gateway Pundit spin it, divide by 2.2595 and then pour it into a horseshoe mold and extrapolate/expedite by factor of 2.55% pucker.

Sorry I'm lying. I have contacts/friends in the EU and UK and all around the stricken area and I rely on folks who I have known to be credible for 20 years to tell me What's-A-Happenin' and then apply the "none of what you hear/half of what you see" derivative and then roll the dice or consult the Magic 8 Ball.

"All signs point to No"

There’s a lot of conjecture and BS on line and from networks on what’s going on in Ukraine.

Anyone know of an objective news source regarding Ukraine?
Best place? You want real news? Grab a camera, hop on a plane to Poland, cross the border and start filming. That’s the only way you’ll get it. Then when you start uploading it places they’ll suppress it and call it fake news!

100% All true.
Russia is now a dictatorship or oligarchy however you want to slice it. Still wildly oppressing it’s people and now by invading another country of “Russian brothers” has created a situation that will harm millions of ordinary russians. Just like the former USSR.
Is America that much different?
Or maybe you catch an airstike.

Well, that’s the risk you will have to take if you want real news ;)

They really hate rob on the fishing forums. He's rich and can be a douche, but oh well.

It's not hard to not watch tv. I've watched a couple hours in close to 10 years and have 3. They are for decoration pretty much.
