Best sling for AR Pistol

This will be used regularly in training with rifle to pistol transitions. I have a Vickers sling that I use on my PRS rifle. It seems to be too long for me to get a good quick adjustment on the AR. In my current set up the the attachment is mid rifle.
What are your experiences and suggestions for a sling. Thank you for time and input.

I am using the lunar contoured sling from Wisemen Company on my pistol. I see alot of people running a Ferro Concepts slingster also.

I use Magpul single/double point QD. Single when I wanna hit myself in the nuts and double when I want to snag on everything in the forest. It's nice to have options.

I run the magpul ms4 and find myself in the same situations!

Yeah, something that short. you may want to look at the single points, or even the bungie single point slings. Also the Magpul one that can convert to both wouldnt be bad.

Edgar Sherman Designs sling. The quick adjust requires no effort to go in either direction. I started with a Vickers, and it's a nice sling, but bulky and kind of awkward to adjust. Since you're running a pistol padding isn't necessary. I've got three ESD slings now and won't go back to anything else.

No problem!

He's local to me in NH, which I didn't realize until I ordered my first sling. It's kind of a light weight design which lends itself well to use with ar's. Probably not the best sling for carrying a heavy bolt gun around all day, but does work great if you shoot from a tripod due to the ability to easily adjust tension.

Buddy of mine just picked one up. They are very nice. Another one to consider is Armageddon precision rifle sling it makes your heavy rifle feel very light. Most braced pistols feel heavy to me, even if they are lighter than a 16” must be a balance thing.

Vickers, VTAC or Larue. All 3 designs came out of Delta and have been the standard for a fighting gun for over 2 decades.

The only question is do you want padded or not.

Not a 1 point not a 3 point. A 2 point adjustable sling.

^^I dare to disagree. The Rogers single-point sling is currently used in the tier-one deployment teams. No entanglement issues, it has a 160 lb. entrapment break-away in situations e.g. someone on top of you trying to beat you-to-death with your weapon or snagged in along side tracked vehicles. I use the sling on all of my carbine platforms. I use velcro attachments to keep the non-deployed sling mount out of the way; as soon as the stock is moved rearward it's released the male component is immediately availalble for engagement to the operator female component.

Every picture you post is indicative of someone who doesn't actually use their guns. Not to be mean, but your setups are a joke and if you actually trained with them the shortcomings and issues would be apparent.

Its not call of duty where you need to put every attachment you can find on a gun. Do you expect anyone to take you serious with this shit?

15 years as a Commander in NSW and veteran of 1st Gulf War I am pretty certain my credentials are as worthy as anyone on this forum. The elite Rogers Shooting School has been training up elite teams and agencies for 30 years. I have been training with them for 20 years and their lead instructors Billy Lumpkin is a 20 year SEALS Instructor in every discipline . Use whatever sling works for you but don't ignorantly tread on my legacy asshole !

ESD sling for the win... I like it way better that vickers and others I've tried, can't see where it could be improved.
