This looks like the right forum for this topic.

Yet another "best" thread, but they do seem to get replies.

I have always been a Timney guy, but I am interested in what those with more experience than I have to say about more recent developments.

I am considering the Jewell trigger, but have read some negative comments about them. I have had positive experiences with that trigger on one rifle, but have not had that unit very long.

The Shilen trigger is of interest as well, but I have no experience with them.

Of especial interest is the new Wilson trigger, but again, I have had no experience with them and not heard of any reports at all.

I would have likely just gone with the Jewell trigger on the latest build, but am concerned about breakage and having it go wonky on me after some things I read on the net, especialy as the trigger will be installed in a semi auto AR format rifle.

For what it is worth, I am always interested in finding out about the latest and greatest as well. Price is no object. I just want the "best" two stage trigger I can find for this rifle.

Thanks for the tip. I had never heard of the brand, dispite my good friend Google.

With that name to work with, I have found that the general consensus agrees with your statment.

Re: Best Trigger?

Going Geiselle DMR for my next build. Currently run RRA 2-stage and a Chip McCormick single stage, they are both nice but the Geiselle is in another league.

The maker has experience with that trigger and never heared of the Geiselle before.

Methinks there is time to adjust the order, though. (LoL again)

I would very much question their experience if they never even heard of Geiselle.

Re: Best Trigger?

Why is that, if you do not mind elaborating?

Do you think the guy is trying to bullshit me, as in he did not really build 20 RND 2000 rifles for the Navy?

Or are you saying the SEALs have lax requirements?

They wanted 20" barrels and had to order enough to make it worth while for the maker to do the r+d to provide the 20" version of the RND 2000 rifle, which was originaly developed with a 26" tube.

Apparently there is more involved than just lopping 6" off the barrel.

Now that the r+d is done, the maker will provide rifles with 20" or 26" barrels, but there are no in between sizes avalable.

The rifle comes standard with a worked over single stage AR trigger, but we wanted a two stage trigger, hence this thread.

I had been looking for information on the RND 2000 rifle, but no one has come up with anything solid either way, so I figured the people who have them are too busy shooting them in one venue or another to bother commenting on their perfomance.

I seems the RND Edge rifles are not not widely known outside of military procurment circles. It also seems that those people are not interesting in disscussing the matter with me.

If you have any comments or knowledge in regards to the RND Edge rifles, I would be very glad to hear them.

Here is a link to their website. It is not a very impressive website, but websites do not seem to be of great importance to these guys.

Their "marketing skills" seem a bit sub-par as well, but I am OK with that. They have been in business for quite a while, and don't seem to have much trouble moving their products.

Re: Best Trigger?

Geiselle all the way.The company even make a less expensive,non-adjustable trigger for "service" type rifles. As for an AR smith not hearing of Geisselle triggers, thats like a bolt gunsmith not hearing of Bartlein barrels.

Update: Just checked out that site you posted Outrider.Seems like some gtg stuff on there.Geisselle triggers are a fairly new,so maybe your smith was too busy building cool rifles to notice.Wouldn't mind a semi .338 lapua or .300 rum myself!! Good luck and keep us posted.
