Best way to sell a suppressor, F3 or F4?

For 15 years I have been a buyer of NFA stuff, but now I want to sell 2 cans. In Utah. Is it best to first transfer them to a F3 with a dealer? What are the ins and outs of selling a can?

It is a giant pain in the ass, for sure. If you are not an SOT, you have to sell on a Form 4 to a dealer or an individual.

Form 4 to FFL is taking sub 8 weeks right now if you’re curious.

Paper, SOT. Non-licensees can’t submit eForm 4 at this time.

Yeah, given the anticipated difficulties, I don’t see why I would even bother when I would get about $800 for a suppressor that cost 1600 New.

Might as well just toss it in the junk drawer and see if you find an application someday in the future

Generally, it’s not usually worth it unless you have a can with a high collector/rarity value, or you’re giving a friend or family member a deal.

I have sold four suppressors in state via paper Form 4 this year alone. There’s a market, folks just want a deal.
