Hey guys. I'm really looking at this Remington 710 in .270 Winchester. I wanna be able to really get out there. However, the range here is only 300 yards. At 200 yards my .17 hmr is challenging, and at 300 VERY challenging. But at these distances I really only shoot at gongs or just for group size.
I really like this Remington and I'd like a bigger center fire caliber again. But the reason I'm stuck between the two is because I don't want it to become kinda boring constantly firing really nice consistant groups out at 300 and hit a dead end you know?
So for you guys with larger calibers and shorter ranges, what are your thoughts on it, and how do you like it?
