I recently assembled a bighorn tl3 with an x-caliber barrel, I have triple checked my headspace using go/no gauges and a field gauge. While upside down in the action wrench my dummy round feeds flawlessy, however when I set the rifle into the chassis, it gets hung up leaving the feed ramp and entering the chamber. The bolt will close if I do quickly with some force however on a gentle ease it will not, its almost like the bullet is catching the upper part of the chamber lip. I've spent hours googling and testing different ideas to see what the problem is. Does anyone have any ideas on my issue.

round, 108G Hornady 6cm eld, set to OAL 2.780.

Which chassis are you using? MPA have been know to hold the mags high with the TL3. Filing a little off the mag release help. I had to do this on my XLR with the MDT mags.

Cadex strike nuke. from the latest look, its almost like the bolt isn't gripping the brass on feed. and after futher looking, im thinking my barrel profile isn't allowing me to get the action seated correctly, and is leaving the angle too high. Ill have to make some more adjustments.

I just finished my TL3 build with a X-Caliber barrel. It jams about 1/4 inch from clearing the mag. Stock mag AM brand that comes with XLR chassis. Rounds are 6.5 x47L plenty short for magazine. I haven't tried anything yet to fix it. Will investigate further once I finish barrel break in since I am loading singles right now.

My Savage action with the X-Cal feeds fine with the Savage mag.

Ive also seen this happen if there isnt a feed cone on the front of the chamber to assist your rounds into the chamber causing the bullet to stab the breech face instead of being guided into the chamber...
