Actually, I think the PASC got it just right.
He was released because of prosecutorial misconduct. They had a good case. They could have put him away. But because they wanted a 'show trial' that would let them write books, get famous, become the next Johnny Cochran... or State AG... they piled on with witnesses who had no need to be there. Vilified him at a personal level. Had crying court moments. It was a circus, run by the prosecution to create... a circus and appease the Me Too Movement.
That was not a trial. It was prosecutorial misconduct. And for that a rapist went free.
Now... when some other guy is up on trial for.... stealing Nancy Pelosi's Gavel... or making Bureau of Land Management look bad... or holing up in his cabin... and the prosecution tries to make an example, maybe they'll think twice. Doesn't matter what the color is.
Bill Cosby belongs behind bars. He should have been behind bars. He deserved to be behind bars.
But idiot state prosecutors who wanted to be reality TV stars and the next "Political It Girl" fucked up for their own ends and ego's and careers. And a rapist goes free. As well he should have. Not because he was innocent. But because the prosecutors are guilty of a worse crime. Trying to use a trial for their OWN personal glorification.
You know who belongs in jail now? The entire prosecutorial team. If the PASC had any real balls, they would have ordered the disbarment, firing, suspension and removal of the entire prosecution team from the justice system of the United States forever. They have NO business ever prosecuting an American citizen with that kind of attitude.
As it is, I hope that Bill Cosby's lawyers sue them for every cent they have. He spent time in jail. His life was ruined. His finances ruined. All because of Prosecutorial Misconduct.
Sounds like a zillion dollar civil law suit that Fat Albert can't lose!!
