Bipod Extenders?

I saw the extender from Accuracy Solutions, and while it looks to be top of the line, the $500 - $600 price tag is a bit off putting. Is anyone aware of any other, more simple, solutions that would be a bit more easy on the wallet? Failing that, a source for a carbon fiber rod to make my own?

Not really "silly". Absolutely a useful product. In my case, i want to run a covert handguard on my DT, but when running a 30" 300 Norma barrel, that little real-estate makes for an unstable platform when really stretching its legs.

I have talked with several people about this idea, the problem is getting the extended legs to be rigid. If they flex its bad news and its very hard to get a really solid setup...

That is why most of the short spigots tend to be so short.

Also a non issue. If you don't have a use for it, that fine, but there is absolutely a niche for it.

Doesn't look like too.many other options. Could order 2 clamps and a section of pic rail and make your own outta flat bar or square tube with a lil drilling

Amazon carries carbon fiber tube that you could use for making one.

While I understand people don't like it due to looks I don't get all the flak unless you have no understanding of the principle behind it.
