Hey guys, I am looking at POSSIBLY buying a Benelli R1 rifle. One thing that has me confused is how a bipod attaches to the rifle. I have 3 Harris bipods, so buying another one isn't something I want to do. Any info on this topic would be appreciated.

Re: Bipod for Benelli R1

I have not seen an adapter. I even googled bipods for m4 because of similarity and 870 because of position. You may be shooting off of bags. I think there is a spigot adapter available for it but my google foo is shot. I would try to maybe contact kasey with atlas.

Re: Bipod for Benelli R1

I had a Benelli R1 in 300WM and I couldn't get it to shoot. I tried about every reasonable factory hunting load plus a bunch of hand loads and never could get it to shoot better than about 1.5MOA on its/my best day. Had a bunch of buddies shoot it and everyone was basically in the same ballpark so I'm thinking I just ended up with one that wouldn't shoot. I ended up giving it to my brother-in-law who tried it for one season and sold it for accuracy related reasons.

Yeah, accuracy was another concern I had right up there with the bipod issue. I think I might just pass the R1 after having those issues confirmed. Anyone know an auto loader that would be accurate, aside from the BAR?
