I'm currently looking at various bipod models for my 300WM that's in a mdt acc chassis. I've checked out the cyke pods, atlas bt10, bt46, bt35, bt65, and bt72 all in the nc models and the warne skyline model. Once finished the rifle will weigh around the 18lbs range since it'll be topped with a razor gen 2. I plan do to alot of bench/prone shooting and potentially a lrs or prs match but won't be for a while. I like the footprint of the scal and 5h just because it'll help distribute the weight and add stability, but with the 5h I’ll need the spigot plate then the arca mount which is an other $100. I'm open to any recommendations for bipods and clamps.

I have the same chassis with a very similar weight rifle. I had an Atlas PSR and picked up the rrs clamp. If I had to do it again, I'd probably go with the CAL, or 5H, but I love the rrs clamp. I have the screw type. It locks up solid and is very simple to slide for position. My indoor range has short benches, so I move it fairly often.

I have been looking at the 5h and scal a lot and then the Warne skyline with the mpa rat mount. I like the 5h but I hate to drop another $110 on a clamp and plate.

This is the clamp I went with, no plate required and $70, so a little better. https://www.milehighshooting.com/really-right-stuff-btc-pro-clamp-for-atlas-bipod/

Whatever tripod you do end up with, try to go ARCA for the mount. Having that convenience is really nice. I didn't think I'd move it much, but I've only had the rifle together for a few months, and it's been moved multiple times. Instead of compromising my position, I move the rifle.

Yeah I talked with 419 and they said I have to mount their spigot plate then buy the arca rail knob too. Just seems like a lot for two accessories.

They look sweet but that price hurts more than a cyke.
Yea, the price is up there but the more I use it the more I appreciate the little things I’ve learned about it.
On a bench, in the snow, sand, rocks, ice it just works.
Wonky position, no problem.
When adjusting cant it a smooth rotation instead of flopping left or right.

And it’s amazingly compact when folded compared to its footprint in use.
