Does anyone have ANYTHING coated in Birdsong Flat Dark Earth color? i did the "search" thing and was a no-go w/ FDE color but found TAN-T pics tho.

<span style="font-weight: bold">Pics of Birdsong Flat Dark Earth or Tan-T needed!</span>

<span style="text-decoration: underline">Post pics if you have any. It would help me a great deal.</span>

Im having a .300WM being built by Warner Tool and cant decide on colors.

Re: Birdsong Flat Dark Earth color pics

Go to www.black-t.com

There are pics there that show the black, green, brown and tan. The tan is a little darker than what it appears on their site. The brown to me looks a little darker than most FDE I've seen.

Give Birdsong a call and see if they will send you some color samples. All of their colors look a little different depending on the light and internet pics always look differednt.

Re: Birdsong Flat Dark Earth color pics

Try this link. This 1911 had the brown-t frame and tan-t slide.

Apparently, you and many others on this site do not know how to use the Search button, which is located towards the upper right corner of your browser. By clicking on the <span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="font-style: italic">"Advanced"</span></span> button and inputting <span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="font-style: italic">"Birdsong"</span></span> you would have found:

"<span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="font-style: italic">Colt and Sig back from Birdsongs</span></span>" posted by <span style="font-style: italic">DODGE268</span> on 2/9/2010.

You would have also found:

"<span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="font-style: italic">Fresh from Birdsong</span></span>" posted by <span style="font-style: italic">Griff01</span>, who replied to you in this thread. <span style="font-style: italic">Griff01</span> posted some photos of a rifle coated in Tan-T - although he didn't mention his photos or link to his thread.

There is also the <span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="font-style: italic">Snipers Hide Search Engine</span></span>. Both are your friends...

Also, as <span style="font-style: italic">Griff01</span> alluded to, Birdsong finishes look different in person than in photos. Part of this is the non-IR characteristic of Birdsong finishes, but I'm sure that the differences between peoples' cameras, monitors, and monitor settings, as well as whether the photos were shot in direct light versus indirect light and natural versus artificial light have a lot to do with how the finishes appear in the photos too.

I do know how to use the search button. Thats how I found them! Drrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

If you would have read all of the first post I said "but I did find Tan-T pics tho."

I know you had to be one of the "cool" guys and use the "Learn to use the search button" phrase.

I was looking for more than 2 or 3 pics and they were not the pics I was looking for anyway.

<span style="font-weight: bold">Birdsong sent me a Color Swatch with their <span style="text-decoration: underline">7</span> colors and I recieved it yesterday so its all good.</span>

I DID read all of your original (first) post - <span style="font-style: italic"><span style="font-weight: bold">did you?</span></span> You contradict yourself in that very post. In your first paragraph you asked for photos of <span style="font-style: italic">"ANYTHING coated in Birdsong Flat Dark Earth color"</span>, saying <span style="font-style: italic">"i did the "search" thing and was a no-go w/ FDE color but found TAN-T pics tho."</span>

Although you found some Tan-T photos you did request Tan-T photos. You <span style="font-weight: bold">bolded</span> the sentence where you said <span style="font-style: italic">"Pics of Birdsong Flat Dark Earth or Tan-T needed!"</span> - not me.

And I also mentioned <span style="font-style: italic">Oddball-Six</span>, whom I quoted in my original reply as well. <span style="font-style: italic">Oddball-Six</span> said:

Telling or asking that someone use the "Search" button is not being cool, its' just something that should be obvious but oftentimes isn't.

Well, you did say <span style="font-style: italic">"ANYTHING coated in Birdsong Flat Dark Earth color"</span>.

Excellent. Good to see that you got what you need.

Re: Birdsong Flat Dark Earth color pics

Here is the Color swatch they sent me. The top pic is compared with the Cerakote Coyote Tan next to the Tan-T.

The Birdsong Swatch is the Larger of the two.

I know you cant really compare picture colors on computer screens but this is just to give you an idea.

what is odd I did not recieve any Green colors but then again all I did was ask for the Brown colors. The grays colors were on the back of the browns so it was just one peice of steel with all the colors on the front and back.

the color your touching on the left is the green. It looks more brown than green unless you in bright direct sunlight

I was told that is all the colors they offer. To dark of od for my taste </div></div>

I dont know were they get a green from that, it sure looks like brown to me.

On the Tac-Ops rifles the green looks ALOT different than that. (even in a different light.)

The top pic is on a green background and it looks nothing (not even close) to a green.
