Not sure about the 178 amax out of a 300WM but hey shoot great out of my 308. My look at the 208 they should have a little better bc.

I shot some out of my Sendero just to give a lighter load a try (usually shoot 190gr-210gr loads). It was consistent, accurate, flat-shooting hunting ammo. Around MOA out of a rifle capable of much better accuracy with match ammo/handloads. Also, it was screaming out of my rifle with MVs around 3050fps.
All of the Black Hills Gold ammo I have shot in various calibers has been quality stuff. Just depends on what your purposes are for the particular load.

Midway lists it at 3000fps.
There's a guy on here getting 2930 out of his 30-06 so if you rolled your own you'd smoke 3k.
There are guys with 300wm's shooting 208's at 2900fps.
You don't know what you're missing.

Thanks Gents, haven't started rolling my own yet. I've been keeping the brass getting prepared but not there yet. Primary use will be tactical shoots and punching paper. I normally use the 190's but thinking about trying something new...

FWIW and IMHO start playing with 200gr and up if you'd like to get any barrel life out of that stick. A 178 will be hauling way to fast not to eat the throat out of the stick.
