Black Thoughts subtopic; the Environment.

OK, I'll start. The environment is everything else in the entire world besides you and your equipment. The ground you're lying on, sitting on, kneeling on, awkwardly teetering over top on. The light that's making things visible. The (dare I say it) wind. It all impinges on what we do. It affects our gear, our minds, our bodies, and I'm sure, other things important to us, too.

So.....

Not sure if you want to include the actual shooter in the discussion but in my opinion the condition of the shooter is a significant part of the environment. You see so many discussions on what to include in your data book and typical wind, temp, humidity etc are included yet rarely do you see shooter condition. This would be rest/sleep, what you've eaten, general mental state, heart rate/breathing (how long/easy it is to get under control) at rest hr/breathing, under stress hr/breathing, diet, vision. We all have off days and when you track shooter info you can start guiding yourself to what days YOU are good.

Thanks for your response seanh, but it's just the two of us, and that's not even good enough to play bridge, which I don't play.

I'm done with these topics.
