i just found out about them tonight on ebay, i have a platform and would like to some days go from the platform thigh holster to the belt holster, all the screws look like a pain.

if you use the qd kit i would like to know if it locks up good and if its worth the money

never used it but i dont see why you want your sidearm to quickly disconnect. seems like a good way for a bad guy to quickly take my gun away. keep it simple. pick a rig and run it.

Kinda surprised at the above answers,

I run QD kits on my Drop leg and vest mount so that I can ditch the drop leg when I want to or I am wearing my vest. I haven't had any issues with it so far. I have not abused it yet, but it will be getting some workouts over the next few months. They feel very solid, but I could see having to keep them clear of debris. the lock in is very positive. As it sits now, I have no concerns about bringing this setup back overseas with me.

I'm also looking at it from the aspect of changing out pistol types (IE from M9 to 1911) and not having to have a whole different holster setup. IE, one platform (drop leg, vest...) with multiple holsters setup to attach.

EDIT: In response to the above post, while it is a QD system, the holster tends to impede someone just grabing at the two tabs. To remove the system, you need to pull two tabs towards the holster and then rotate about 10 degrees. to attach, just push it in the receiving QD and rotate again.

I specifically set my release tabs up on my vest so that the holster 'covers' them when I wear it, not much of a chance of someone snagging it or it accidentally getting released.

ya i really see the advantage of the kit, some days if you wanna run drop leg just click click, then if you wanna go to the hip or a vest just click click

iam going to look into this a little more

We have them in the local store here. I am not impressed with them. They are way to easy to get off their locking bases. To me its spelling trouble.

My opinions says stay away from them. Their regular Serpa holsters that are paddle or belt loops are just fine but I do not like the multiple base, locking holsters.
