The Thumbdrive holster comes with ASR, I like it.

I would say it's just personal preference and how your belt is setup. If it's not inconvenient to have to thread the belt all the way through then go with the loop. If you want to be able to snap it on and off, then the tek-lok is fine. I was leery about the tek-lok until I won a piece of gear at a match that had it, it's much nicer than I expected.

For Mag Pouches I use the Tek loc, for the holster I use the loops.


AND,,, I make sure the tek loc is placed with the hinge on top, so that if it unsnaps and you are doing the run and gun thing it will stay in place and not slide off the belt.

Seconding the loop, it works for me, solid as ever.

Remember to cinch that thing high on the thigh, of course.

I personally use the belt loop style, BUT the Tek-lok is the way to go if you might ever use a different size belt. It's mostly preference either way; both will work.

I was not a fan of the Tek-Lok as it always needed to be where my belt loops are on my 5.11 pants.
