I have an older set of red legged bog pods that would be much more useful if I had a head better than the "Y" shaped loose fitting yoke. Has anyone tried different heads that would make for a more secure mount?
I cut two small triangle wedges out of an ethafoam broadhead target, one for each side, and wrapped them up with black tape. It took a couple three times to get the right squeeze on the foam. The goal was to get the gun snug enough in the rest that it would just sit there, but easy enough to grab and go if need be.
I think sleeping mat or those small kneeling pads would work great for that. The kneeling mats can be found in most garden sections at big box stores. Lowe’s, Home Depot, Walmart, Target, etc..
I prefer hockey tape over the different types of duct tape.
BTW, that yoke on the bog pod looks pretty effective.
