Dumb question? Will BLO peel open laminate wood? I know it depends on what kind of glue, but what if the glue I'm looking to use the BLO on is cassein glue?

Nope. German K98 stocks post 1939 were laminates and IIRC they had a linseed oil finish. Only thing it will do is darken the wood.
