Border Barrels

I have a Sauer Model 200 take-down Rifle in 25-06 and the barrel is at its end . I'd really like to replace it with a custom barrel from Border Barrels UK as they are the only one able to supply a fitted and proofed barrel for this gun other than Sig/Sauer . I'd like to switch to 280 Ackley Improved and SS does not chamber this cartridge . I figured that if anyone would know a solution to my dilemma it would be a Sniper's Hide member .
Any help will be greatly appreciated , Thanks !

I think you can use the barrel you have, to make a barrel adaptor and screw a SS custom barrel into that!!

I've heard about that option but that would be my last resort .

Any Hide members from the UK ? , please chime in , throw me a bone !
If anyone would know it would have to be someone from the hereditary homeland , at last report their is no current importer in the US perhaps their is a way around this ?
Please let me know as for now an excellent rifle is just sitting idle for the time being .

Not From UK but Ireland,
Border were sold a while back and are moving premises to Birmingham.
Some of the staff left (LEE left to Hardy NZ as far as I know)
Border had a stand at the IWA show in Germany this year, chatting to some on the stand they sounded very positive.
In the past I found them to be very slow in getting anything done.
Can't help any further sorry.

As someone said, you could send your rifle to GAP or Crescent Customs and have them install a Bartlein or Kreiger. If Iremember correctly they cut the existing barrel and thread the inside to accept the new barrel tenon.

Thanks ! , I really don't want to sacrifice the old barrel but that may be my only option !
I'm going to inquire about it to GAP and see what the pros & cons are if any .

On another note if any Hide member in the UK can assist me I'd be very grateful !

OK , I sent e-mails to GAP, Crescent and others on 5/26 and have not received a reply , does anyone know any competent gun smiths that could do the job , either with the original barrel as a donor or with a new barrel extension ?
I'd also appreciate any information concerning Border Barrels and that possibility from hide members outside of the US . I've been sending e-mails to BB since 07/2013 and no reply !
It seems they have been in the process of moving shop and will not oblige any orders from the US because they have no importer here . I read in another post here about someone in OK that did imports but no longer does so
