Does anyone make metal magazines for a 223? I have a chassis that uses the plastic AI mags, would like to switch to something smoother and that doesn't seem fragile / cheap. Any recommendations?

Depending on you needs/goals you may want to modify the magazines to allow long loading of heavier bullets.
The 6.5 guys talked about it a few years ago in this video....

This allows me to load 80's long and feed flawlessly through the mags.
    Good luck.

Accurate mags are great but like above I'll be modding a spare 308 mag to shoot some 90s in my 223ai
Did you try modding your Accurate Mag yet to run long? While my throat isn't terribly long in my AI (0.061" I think), I still have plenty of room left after seating 80 ELDs in my mag. I can't remember what I opened it to, but want to say I have room for 2.600" or so. What are your 90's running for OAL?

Edited a pic rom the web to show the difference when you file the overhang lip back on the accurate mag for more space.

My last one wasn't fast enough to turn the 90s so the new barrel in process is a 28" 1/7. Hoping for 2900 with 90s
