I've been curious what the long slot under the AICS was for. I did some searching and found some Handstop/Bipod mount? In clicking some of the various links, I found a pic what I was hoping to find....a secion of picatinny rail mounted there. I went to Mile High's website and didn't see anything listing and most of my searches only show picatinny rails that mount everywhere else on the chassis other than where that long slot is. If you need to see a pic of what I'm talking about, I can try to post it up....otherwise I hope there are those that will know and reply.

THANKS!

Accu-Shot makes the AFAR kit to put a section of rail under there. I currently have one on my 260 for mounting my atlas bipod, but am switching over to the spigot mount instead.

Let me know if you want pics of the assembly.

I checked out the Atlas AFAR kit....It does exactly what I want but the pic I saw had a longer section of picatinny rail that filled up the whole slot. Not absolutely necessary but this is what I was looking for....if it exists.

I checked out Phoenix Tactical and came up with nothing.

I had my gun next to an Annie last night, and confirmed that they two slots are definitely different, as B&T mentions on their website. But I'll bet a little light filing would make it work just fine if you wanted to install this kit on one of the traditional narrower rails.

I'm considering remove the short spigot from my gun, putting a rail on it, and mounting the bipod on the rail. I think that would end up being a decent weight savings....

Alamo 4 star makes a pic rail section that fits the slot. However, if your intent is to use it to mount on a tripod, you will find that it isn't long enough to run with a bipod attached and attach it to the tripod. Even if you remove the bipod and run a spigot mounted bipod so you can run the rail section on a tripod you will find the balance point on the AICS is further back ,right in front of the magazine well and the pic rail doesn't extend that far back. Also, if your harris bipod has a podloc on it, it will leave you very little useable pic rail/room to use it for anything.
