    Today, I couldn't resist after the great reviews from asking on this forum, and picked up the Builders Set from Aero. So with all the sales going on, I was hoping to take advantage and get some assistance and thought Id ask for suggestions on what is proven, not necessarily interested in your friend has a ***** review, but factual uses. My hope by asking here is to not run into something that does not run/cycle etc and avoid any pitfalls, which has mostly scared me into posting here :)

    Pretty set on the 6.5 Creedmore, focusing on the 130-140 grain projectiles.
    It'll run suppressed (Omega)
    No objection to reloading if need be, I presume that'll be what needs to be done (Although I hear good things about Prime 130's)
    It'll be used to hunt, and here in Nevada, longer shots are not uncommon.

    Here's goes ;
    What Barrel Length? Twist rate, 8?
    What Contour? Weight is somewhat of a concern, trying to keep the gun resonably maneuverable.
    What barrel manufacturer? Really interested in PROOF's offering. Recently built 2 bolt actions with their barrels and both tuned and shot nicely.
    What spring/buffer system?
    What BCG? JP keeps popping up after multiple searches.
    What Lower Parts Kit? There is a fair share of horror stories around certain lower parts causing differing issues
    Pretty certain Ill be told to use a Adjustable Gas Block, and have used the SLR and have perfect success. (AR15 platforms)

    Farily lengthy I realize, and no doubt my many searches have taken me in many directions, but I thought Id come back to the Hide as I have done many times before.
    It cost what is costs, like most of us, I'm somewhat budget minded, but long ago realized, buy once cry once, and no rush other than some of the pricing lately has actually stimulated this build.
    Thanks all. Dave

    In the process of building the same now. Waiting for a JP barrel set. Went with the JP lmos bolt carrier group. Used a dpms lpk and the front takedown pin would not fit and I had to lightly open the hole on the receiver very little. Read alot of reviews the mod 3 BCM charging handle needed some modifications to find the upper but mine fit perfectly. I ended up going with the Magpul extended buffer tube after I saw a thread here with the luth stock and a huge lop. I like a really long lop and this setup is just right for me. Can't go wrong with a JP set I've read

    Good starting point for the parts you have listed. You cannot go wrong with any of them. Just keep in mind other manufactures do produce some quality stuff, so do not forget them. My only suggestion for this post would be the barrel length and gas system length for what you want to accomplish. Some manufactures make the +2" in the gas tube length. Might be considered for what you might want to run. Adjustable Gas block for this caliber with suppressor is a must in my opinion. SLR is a good choice, also Superlative is another good one to use if your gas system length is not the +2". Helps bleed off the excess with suppressor in that caliber.

    Rainier barrels are really good, they sell them also in 6.5 Creed. Just a few thoughts to consider!
